ORB Exploration, Bayou Sorrel, Outside Baton Rouge, LA

On 15JAN13, USCG MSU Baton Rouge contacted NOAA SSC in regards of a spill in Bayou Sorrel. USCG was notified and responded on 15JAN, even though the spill occurred on 03JAN. The spill is from a 4 inch pipeline (now secure) which released an estimated 100 bbl of crude oil. The contracted OSRO requests authorization to conduct in-situ burn because of unusually arduous site conditions. USCG is seeking advise from NOAA SSC on this matter.
